CrossAnchor
Quartet was formed in the Summer of 2006
in Sumter, South Carolina by Kenny Brice and Kenny
Fenters. After traveling extensively with
the Believers Quartet for several years, they
decided it was time to scale back and sing closer
to home. John Berry joined the group to sing
lead, followed by Dwight Neil rounding out the
quartet singing tenor.
The mission of
CrossAnchor is to share the Great News that Jesus
Saves through good ole southern Gospel Quartet
music! |

for several years with "Adoration", followed
by six years with "The Believers" before
taking a one year break in 2005-06. But Southern Gospel

Marty Atkinson - Tenor
Marty lives in Sumter, SC with his wife Jamie and daughter Reese. Marty has been singing since his senior year of high school. He started out singing solo for several years then sang with "Counterpoint" quartet out of Sumter for a year before going to Pensacola Christian College. While there he sang with "Agape" quartet for 2 1/2 years while finishing up his accounting degree with minors in Music and Bible. He returned to Sumter and began singing with John Berry in a local trio called "Saving Grace" trio for 3 years. He has been involved with the music ministry at Sumter First Church of God since leaving "Saving Grace" for the last 4 years, leading the worship and singing on praise teams.
"I have been filling in with "Cross Anchor" for the last year when someone in the group had a conflict or was sick, and I have realized how much I have missed singing with a Southern Gospel Quartet! When the opportunity to join full time came around I was thrilled to be able to accept. Southern Gospel music is my passion and I am excited to be doing what the Lord has called me to do once again! It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will use this ministry to spread the Gospel through the singing and testimonies of Cross Anchor Quartet."
