CrossAnchor Quartet was formed  in the Summer of 2006 in Sumter, South Carolina by Kenny Brice and Kenny Fenters.  After traveling extensively with the Believers Quartet for several years, they decided it was time to scale back and sing closer to home.  John Berry joined the group to sing lead, followed by Dwight Neil rounding out the quartet singing tenor.

The mission of CrossAnchor is to share the Great News that Jesus Saves through good ole southern Gospel Quartet music!

Kenny Brice - Bass

Kenny is a lifelong resident of Sumter, SC with a lifelong love for Southern Gospel music. He has been married to his wife Carleen for 30 years, and they have two grown sons, Lee and Lewis. Kenny runs his own electrical contracting business - KMB Electrical - but still finds time to sing and share his witness as often as he can.  He sang for several years with "Adoration", followed by six years with "The Believers" before taking a one year break in 2005-06. But Southern Gospel is in his blood, so in the summer of 2006  CrossAnchor was born!  Kenny brings a love for Southern Gospel music and for Jesus Christ that is genuine, contagious and unmistakable.

Dwight Neil - Baritone

Dwight lives in St. George, SC with his wife Karen and daughter Grace. His music career goes back to his college years when he played drums and sang with the contemporary Christian group "Sweet Spirit".  He actually met Karen when Sweet Spirit performed at Karen's home church.  After many years of filling in as music leader at his home church, Dwight is finally fulfilling his lifelong dream... to sing in a Southern Gospel Quartet with the best guys in the country!

"Gospel music is an incredible vehicle for sharing our faith in and love for Christ with others.  It's fun, uplifting, exciting, and every song contains a sermon about God's Grace and love!"

John Berry - Lead

John lives in Sumter, SC with his new bride Lacey. John has been singing Southern Gospel music since 2001, starting with a local trio called "Saving Grace."  After singing with the trio for 3 years, the members decided to venture into other ministries. John says "I am excited about this new opportunity God has opened up.. These guys are three of the greatest guys to sing with. My biggest prayer is that I as well as these other Christian brothers can be a witness to lost people and a blessing to the saved."

Marty Atkinson -  Tenor

Marty lives in Sumter, SC with his wife Jamie and daughter Reese.  Marty has been singing since his senior year of high school.  He started out singing solo for several years then sang with "Counterpoint" quartet out of Sumter for a year before going to Pensacola Christian College.  While there he sang with "Agape" quartet for 2 1/2 years while finishing up his accounting degree with minors in Music and Bible.  He returned to Sumter and began singing with John Berry in a local trio called "Saving Grace" trio for 3 years.  He has been involved with the music ministry at Sumter First Church of God since leaving "Saving Grace" for the last 4 years, leading the worship and singing on praise teams.

"I have been filling in with "Cross Anchor" for the last year when someone in the group had a conflict or was sick, and I have realized how much I have missed singing with a Southern Gospel Quartet!  When the opportunity to join full time came around I was thrilled to be able to accept.  Southern Gospel music is my passion and I am excited to be doing what the Lord has called me to do once again!  It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will use this ministry to spread the Gospel through the singing and testimonies of Cross Anchor Quartet."
